Helpful Leather Care Tips

Maintenance is important to keep your leather furnishings looking healthy and supple.  These types of furnishings have a high tendency to attract dust particles over time whicn can act like sand paper and has the potential to grind the finish, resulting in scratches in the leather.  Wet dusting is an effective way to maintin leather and keep it looking its best year after year.  Heat sources such as fireplaces and radiators, as well as UV Rays should be avoided wherever possible as these may cause the leather to dry out resulting  in premature cracking or peeling due to moisture loss.  Like fabric furnishings, it is also important to be cognisant of dyes and dye transfer from clothing or dark blankets.
